“Eyeliner, how I love thee, let me count the ways!”
Ok, I am no poet, but I do indeed love great eyeliner. For the Spring season, a hot beauty trend seen up and down the runways was bold eyeliner. And when I speak of bold, I not only speak of the colors used (i.e. neons, jewel tones, etc.) I also speak of bold application of eyeliner. Many models were seen strutting their stuff with eyeliner heavy on their lids in shades ranging from neon green to iridescent purple used on the bottom lid. So if you are as fearless with your eye makeup as I am, try these tips and find your perfect bold eyeliner.
- Coordinate Your Eyeliner with Your Outfit! This is an easy one. One of the quickest ways to grab people’s attention with your eyes is to coordinate your eyeliner with your outfit. And since it is Spring, and you will more than likely be wearing brighter and bolder colors, it is easy to find a great bold brightly colored eyeliners to match your outfits! - Use Your Eyeliner as Eyeshadow. This 2-for-1 application technique encompasses the bold application of eyeliner that I was talking about earlier. Use a soft kohl eyeliner pencil and apply to your eyelid until halfway to the crease of the lids. Then lightly color in the area above the crease and smudge to blend only this area for a softer shadow effect. A great product for this bold application of eyeliner is Avon Big Color Eye Pencil, $6
