If you saw my previous post which was an ode to yellow eyeshadow, then you know I had to expand on the subject and go for the gold with a few of my favorite picks of eyeshadows for every color in the rainbow!
To day is all about purple eyeshadow. It is a beautiful clear, sunny day and I have scouted out the most perfect Calvin Klein purple sheath dress (see image to the left) that I plan on wearing and I have to figure out the right colors to wear for eyeshadow. Hmmm…after a few minute of digging through my huge makeup case for the right shades of eyeshadow. I decided to be a bit daring with my choices and do a purple rainbow effect on my eyelids. Don’t be alarmed, this is a subtle rainbow with a very discreet blending technique that allows me to wear about 5 eyeshdaows at the same time! I have used a large variety of purple eyeshaows in the past, but here are some of my top choices for the ones that actually wear the best and are easiest to blend.
Purple Eyeshadows I love at the moment:
Dior 2-Colour Eyeshadow Purple Look
This palette of dark plum purple and pink is a sweet contrast for quick, easy and seamless eyeshadow application!
Dior 5-Colour Eyeshadow – Petal Shine 809 Petal Shine 809
The iridescent purples in this palette make for a very creative time! Enjoy mixing and matching these shades with smokier matte purples.
Givenchy Prisme Again! Eyeshadow Quartet Purple Emotion
I don’t know how Givenchy did it, but these matte metallics have the most subtle prismatic effect I have ever seen. This is a top pick!
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Purple Haze
This great little single is fun as a base shadow, a highlighter shadow, or worn alone as the only shadow!
Urban Decay Matte Eyeshadow Purple Haze
A true purple, this orchid shade can we worn with other purples, browns, grays, neutrals, and black!
If you wear purple shadow, what are some of your favorite shades?
